Among a lot of qualities, this hand-woven rug has an appealing tight texture, a multidimensional depth created by the cotton thread, that makes you want to glide a hand over the surface. Visually the muted and lighter tones balance the darker shades and soften the pattern resulting in a less graphic and more organic expression finished with an elegant edge. The natural, calming colours and the sublime quality of the wool make this a rug that create a good acoustics, cosy ambience, and warmth in the home. Apart from being made with finer yarn, Holger is in the same family as Rolf and Humle.

Care

We always recommend that you use an underlay to extend the life of your rug. An underlay ensures that the rug remains in a fixed position. It also reduces the risk of any staining. Some of our kilim rugs are reversible. We recommend that you turn your rug over every six months. Do not place your rug in direct sunlight. Irregularities in colour and weaving are characteristics of hand-made rugs.

Care instruction – Rugs of wool, linen and viscose
Daily cleaning: Vacuum your rug as needed. Never vacuum your rug with the brushes of your vacuum cleaner nozzle in the extended position. You can also give your rug a gentle shake outside. Do not beat your rug. Spot cleaning, only woolen rugs: Spots, spills and dirt should be removed in two steps immediately after the spill to avoid a stain. 1. Blot, never rub, the area with a soft cloth, paper towel or napkin to soak up as much of the liquid as possible. 2. Dab the spot very gently with a damp cloth soaked in carbonated water. More thorough cleaning: We recommend professional cleaning. Please note, that we cannot guarantee that all stains can be completely removed.
